Proof that people are waking up, albeit a little too slowly for my tastes. But it’s happening.

Hothead blogger Karl Denninger of Niceville, Florida, also known as Genesis, went on an angry, profanity laced tirade today, banning every member of his popular The Market Ticker website, and even someone who does not belong to the site.

The outburst was prompted by a contributor to the site who challenged Denninger’s thesis that gold is not an appropriate investment in the current economic environment.

“Yeah, I mean, all I said was that I thought he was wrong about gold, that ya know, it might be good to have some,” said the poster, known as ‘SBug’. “And he went totally off, and banned me from the site, like, forever. It’s not cool.”

But apparently that wasn’t enough to quell the wrath of Mr. Denninger, who then went on to ban every single poster to the forum, before posting a cryptic message on his website.

The message, which has since been removed, read:
“Jesus, when does the idiocy stop? I am sick and tired of people asking the same dumb questions and bringing up the same moronic points. I do not like gold, ok? Got it? Good. It’s a useless hunk of metal and owning it is how you destroy your personal wealth.”

Later, Denninger was spotted at a local supermarket, where he was overheard banning a checkout clerk. The clerk, Sven Lundegaard, 36, claims he has never heard of The Market Ticker and doesn’t know Denninger.

“I was scanning his items, and I asked him if he had a club card, and he freaked out and said I was banned. And I’m like, banned? Banned from what? The supermarket? But he didn’t answer and left the store quickly.”

No word yet on whether Denninger has banned any other non-members of his website. Calls and emails to his office have so far been unanswered.

Earlier this week the “Silver Bears” released another video detailing manipulation in the Silver market. Based on the action in the Silver market this week, it looks like their predictions are coming true.

Florida Pastor Terry Jones, who had planned to hold an ‘International Burn-a-Koran Day’ to commemorate the 9 year anniversary of 9/11, has changed his mind and decided to cancel the event.

Jones, 58, has instead decided to hold an ‘International I’m A Religious Douchebag Day’. The new event, to be held at the same time and place as the original event, will celebrate all religions, and the followers who practice them. Anyone will be welcome to attend.

President Obama lauded the decision in a brief White House press conference.

“I am certainly happy to hear that Pastor Jones has changed his mind. One thing that all religious people, including myself, from all denominations share, is that when we get carried away in our beliefs, we can become douchebags,” he said on Wednesday.

“This new event will allow all of us to celebrate that fact.”

House Minority Leader John Boehner also weighed in.

“I’m from the religious douchebag party, so I know first hand how this can happen. It is time for all of us to come together, and celebrate our common ground,” Boehner said.

Admission to the event will be free, and refreshments such as gefilte fish, shawarma, and sandwiches will be sold by various vendors.

Pastor Jones was unavailable for comment.

Prechter, Denninger, Nadler, etc. have gotten it wrong for years. These guys will likely jump into the Gold market at the very top. When they do, run for the hills.

One of the things that is often overlooked about 9/11, and the resulting Patriot Act (love the Orwellian terminology), is that all of this surveillance, all of this technology, all of this increase in manpower, all created in the name of ferreting out the “bad guys” (Muslim boogeymen in far off caves, and their “vast” networks of terrorist cells), has an ancillary purpose.

That is, it was put in place to monitor\harass\condition\control you, me, and any other (legal citizen) residing in these here United States of America.

You see, fellow comrades, as The Empire crumbles, it will strike back. It will attempt to maintain (fleeting) control. It will determine who is “with them or against them”. And the latter will not be looked upon with favor.

Slowly, incrementally, you see the changes taking place, if you know where to look.

Naked body scanners? Check
Email monitored\read? Check
Traffic cameras? Check
Website visits tracked? Check
Etc.

This is but a brief list, assembled at a whim. There is more, a lot more, if you take the time to dig a little. Most will not, but I’m not about to trot out the well worn disparagement of typical Americans. You know the score.

And now they’re working on an internet “kill switch”, all in the name of protecting us of course.

1. The political party that’s out of power poses as real opposition to the awful business as usual policies in Washington, suckering its base of brainwashed zombies to vote them back into power with false promises and lies.

2. The zombies take the bait like bloated trout.

3. The formerly out of power party then assumes control, and does none of the things that were promised, and instead continues and even accelerates the scam (New World Order, police state, looting the citizenry, whittling liberty, disregarding the Constitution, escalating wars, playing empire, etc. etc. etc.).

4. The zombies of the newly empowered party go along with all of it, because you see, everything that “was” deplorable is now A-OK.

5. Repeat 1-4 ad infinitum.

Maybe Native Americans weren’t so foolish after all for giving up Manhattan for some trinkets.

For on that small bit of overpriced real estate the demise of Western civilization was perfectly executed.
